Republicans moderate their abortion views on campaign websites

Republicans in competitive districts are changing their campaign websites to show more moderate views on abortion as we move closer to the general election. Some have completely removed any mention of abortion at all.

Polling has shown that abortion is one of the top issues on the ballot in Virginia this year. The results of elections in November will show just how big of a motivator it is as Republicans have vowed to increase restrictions and Democrats have promised to keep the current laws in place.

According to the internet archive, SD-17 Republican candidate Emily Brewer had a stronger stance against abortion prior to winning her primary race in June.
