Miyares wants SCOTUS to leave the abortion debate to the states

During his opening argument for Dobbs v. Jackson in the Supreme Court, Mississippi Solicitor General Scott Stewart asked the court to overturn Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. The case itself involves a ban on abortion in the state of Mississippi at 15 months.

Virginia’s new attorney general supports the challenge, reversing Virginia’s position on the case. He wants SCOTUS to stay out of the abortion debate altogether.
