Freedom Virginia launched a new ad Thursday attacking SD-17 Republican candidate Emily Brewer for her vote against Medicaid expansion in 2018. Del. Brewer was a member of the House of Delegates at the time.
Many Republicans voted in favor of expanding Medicaid in 2018. The legislation passed in the Republican-controlled House of Delegates 67-31. The Republican-controlled state Senate voted 23-17 in favor of expansion.
