A wasted day

The Virginia General Assembly met on Wednesday and failed to elect a new State Corporation Commission (SCC) judge. The two chambers also disagreed on whether to adjourn or go into recess. If both chambers adjourn, then the governor has the ability to choose the new judge for the SCC.
