The rundown

  • Deeds calls Hudson a liar even though she has receipts for each hit in her ad

  • The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce asked Sturtevant to stop using one of their event flyers to attack Ramirez in his ad. We have responses from both campaigns.

  • Sens. Kaine and Warner endorse a few Democratic candidates in competitive primaries.

  • Descano posted audio of Nuttall saying he would enforce new abortion laws if Republicans enact more restrictions.

  • Headlines from around Virginia politics.

State Sen. Creigh Deeds (D) begins his new ad by saying “Don’t believe Sally Hudson’s negative ad.” But Hudson’s new ad has receipts and she has pointed them out. The negative ad from Del. Hudson, who is primarying Deeds for a state Senate seat, focuses on his past votes with gun-related bills.
