Governor Youngkin met with his Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs Craig Crenshaw on Tuesday to discuss the administration’s efforts to support Virginia’s military, Veteran, and family community. According to sources with knowledge of the meeting. The main topics of their discussion were:

  • Sustaining, strengthening, and modernizing the Virginia National Guard

  • Expanding the military and defense community footprint in Virginia

  • Ensuring transitioning service members and their families stay in Virginia and grow the Veteran population

  • Enabling a thriving work environment for Veterans and their families
